Yeah it is getting expensive
My Ms are $1000 each to do all fluids and filters. My Massey is even more
Except for the break in period oils change, beginning to think there is some gratuitous overkill built into the frequency of the fluid changes.
I had 2 different dealer service techs tell me it is overkill and they have some customers actually never change the fluid, just change filters and top off!!! No problems either.
I wouldnt recommend doing that
When I drain my oil, I take it to my buddy who uses it to heat his shop. Last couple times I took it in, he actually added it to his backhoe hydraulic system. He said it was too clean to waste as heating oil
I always scratch my head over comments about how expensive consumable stuff like Kubota fluid is. People drop 30 or 40 grand on a tractor and whine about the costs of consumables. I find it humorous. Like you, my M's take 15 gallons each and like your buddy, I use it in my waste oil burner in the winter.
I do a fluid change and filters (only Kubota filters) every 2 years and I keep a couple gallons on hand because my remotes are always peeing a bit of fluid when I change implement hydraulics, which I do often.
Wait until they buy tires. I reshod one of my M's this spring, 4500 bucks for rubber.
