I much preferred the servo-controlled HST on the Kubota

I guess it just wasn't very observant of me. I never noticed the difference during my test drive. (But then most of my experience at the time was with gear transmissions.)

As for your second comment - I am not interested in a fight.

sorry if it came across that way. I figured I had toned things down enough with my comment on the NH brochure, and the admission after my signature (overly defensive TC33D owner).

I was chompin at the bit for a TC45D when I was looking, the specs were with NH but it just didn't fit what I was comfortable with. I have put quite a few hours on my L3710 in its first year and don't anticipate slacking off at all. I was a little awkward with the treadle design at first but now it feels absolutely natural. I have NO problem with creature comforts but I really ended up getting annoyed with New Hollands' marketing of the "Boomer" series./w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif My annoyance was more enhanced when I was the lone Orange in a room full of Blue/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif when my local dealer and NH held a focus session. The fellows from NH were really focused on the urban tractor user - more lawn mowin then land moving. Whatever.

Some things about tractors are purely subjective, a matter of what feels best to the user. I guess I have been a bit harsh on NH - it is a different beastie. 'course I still think my 'bota will out last ya/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Yeah, NH's brochure and marketing for the compacts does seem slanted towards a certain type of person (how many guys in the brochure are driving the tractors in white pants, polo shirts, or freshly pressed khakis?)

On the other hand, they are well built, and I can operate it for extended periods of time without messing up my bad back.

I do like the separate forward & reverse pedals on the class III Boomers, but the class II I have has the treadle pedal. I got used to it pretty quickly, and now don't even notice it.

Just curious about you 2410 owners... What were the price, weight, and hydraulic output differences between that and the 2710/2910? I always thought they were the same size, just with a larger engine. If so, what was the attraction that made you go with the smaller unit?

I got to admit I sure do like the seat when at 12 degree looking back.also the slope hood.

All 4 tractor companies brochure show well dress men and woman useing the equipment w/out a dirt spot on them...would it look good to have some of use on there brochures w/dirty botts&t-shirts,muddy tractor,swing at black flies etc..
I for one would rather see a brochure like that.

I have to throw this in there /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. When I purchased a boomer prior to my current Kubota, the front tires in the brocure for the TC's were on backwards. They were R-4's. I called N/H to see if they knew of it after I had E-mailed them and received no reply. The rep stated that one of their sales people had said something to them before I called {probably my salesman, I had pointed out to him}. You would think the technical aspect would have been scrutinized more than the wardrobes /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.

Then you have to get yourself a copy of AGCO's new "ST" Compact brochure... from "flying mud" on the front cover /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif... throughout most of the book... Tough As Nails... as they put it... right down to the used dirty work gloves and manure caked tires... they are really working tractors... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I always wonder why tractor companies don't have tv ads..the kinda of ads from compact up to the meadow beast,or even roads side billboard ads..for they don't in my area..what about others areas?

The 2410 is actually the same size as the B7500. I think it's actually the same frame with different axle shafts and slightly larger tires. The 27/29 is almost a foot longer than either the B7500 or B2410. Looking further into the specs, there are differences between the B2410 and B7500. The engine has another 100cc displacement, so gets a little more torque (although interestingly not really any more horsepower). If I were to speculate, based on the bore and stroke, I'd say the B7500 and B2410 have essentially the same engine with just slightly different bore and stroke. If you'd like to see my analysis, I'm happy to share.

Thanks, GlueGuy. I've never seen the 7500 or the 2410 here in my neck of the woods, so just assumed the 2x10 family was all alike. Now the previous post makes sense.
