I've had the opportunity to own both a kubota L3200, and a kioti ck35 recently. I've got to say that the Kioti is much more a better machine to me than the same priced kubota. There is just no comparison. The Kioti is like a tank compared to the kubota a toy. The Kioti brings so much more tractor to the table. The Kubota has a defective 3pt. lift, the Kioti works right.
I can only share first impressions, but very impressed with the ck35.

You realize you are going to get flamed as the Bota people don't like that kind of talk.

Certainly not all of us "Bota people", my primary and favorite tractors right now are an L5740HSTC and M8540HDC, but if I had to choose between those two mentioned, I would pick the Kioti. I would hope no matter our preferences, we can recognize when one model performs better than another or offers a better value.

As a 25 year owner of Kubota and still own one, also Kioti owner. I would agree with your post. Much more bang for the buck IMO

The Kioti better be "built like a tank" with its North Korean neighbors to the north !
I like-em both.

I have both too plus Fords and 1 Massey. I must say Kubota is the worst of the bunch. Too light and way under powered and will never buy another. I would have to buy a Kubota 30-50% higher hp rating to do same work as others. This is based of machine weight and engine torque ratings alone. Tractor hp is actually less of importance than torque but most people are unaware of this fact. Im very surprised they sell what they do. All I can say is "Marketing"

I've never owned either, but have rented Kubotas from time to time, and "tried" to use my FIL's L thirty or forty something or other a few times. I love my dealer, but I remain unimpressed with the tractors. Most that I've operated are light for the hp...and the cabs seem to be designed for really small folk. Add in that treadle deal and the stiff as all get-out 3pt and it's a no thank you from me. The only Kubota tractor I would consider for my purposes is the M59, but they're much too proud of them based upon the pricing I've seen. I could buy a much more capable (used but cabbed) full-size hoe AND a heavier trailer to haul it with for less than the price of a new M59. Oh yeah, they don't offer a cab either.

I've only sat in the Kioti tractors. They look pretty nice, and at least I do fit in the cab.

When I WENT OUT LOOKING FOR A NEW TRACTOR IN 2009 I was going to buy a JD OR Kubota. On my way I passed a Kioti Dealer and stopped in, He offered a CK30 WITH FEL for 13,200 out the door or the smaller 20 HP for $9000. I told him I wanted to look at the JD and KUBOTA and would be back. For the same money Kubota and JD did not even compare it was like a toy to a Tank. I told the JD sales guy this don't even compare to a Kioti He laughed and said no it don't. I bought the Kioti and it has been one fine Tractor. I owned a Kubota for about 15 years before the Kioti.

Kioti makes a fine tractor, though it's got it's own quirks too. Just don't forget all of us Kubota folks who gave you honest and unbiased advice in your other thread when you were clueless about your L and the 3-pt hitch problem. And don't forget your Kubota dealer who was honest and gave you a refund. I hope you will post some pictures and useful information about your CK35 and not just bash Kubota.

I'm not bashing Kubota, I'm just saying that the L3200 can't compare to the CK35. I'm not comparing Kubota folks, Kioti dealers, or dogs to cats. Just the L3200 to the CK35.

Sounds like you know the answer, When I buy anything used the shape the thing is in is a big key for me. You say one has a 3pt that does not work....that is just what you know....how else has it been treated....was the oil ever changed, was it lubed. I have seen cars that are a year old just fall apart because the owner did not care for it.

Buy the one that is in the best shape and it the most easy in your area to get serviced.

Where I live there was no Kioti dealer anywhere close to me.

Both of his tractors were brand new. His Kubota L3200 exhibited the jerky 3pt hitch syndrome. His Kubota dealer gave him all of his money back, to the credit of that dealer!

I should just leave this one alone, but....

The CK35 is darn near a twin of the L3400 in terms of specs. It is a deluxe tractor though. Like comparing a f-150 work truck to one of them lincoln trucks that that is power everything, etc.

As far as capabilities go, I dont think there is anything that a CK35 could do that my L3400 cant. In terms of work being done. So I am not sure I see the justification of calling a CK35 a tank compared to the L3200

Sure, the kioti is a nicer tractor at the same price point. But the kubota is a kubota. They build a helluva name and are able to charge more because of it. Give it another decade or so, if kioti keeps on the same track they are on, I believe their prices will be right inline with deere, CNH, kubota, etc.

I am not brand loyal to anything. I own a kubota now, dont mean my next one will be. When I bought mine, kioti was still too new for my liking, and the nearest dealer about 2 hours away. When I have a kubota, CNH, and deere dealer 20 min away. So, I bought the best value for me at that time. Next time, it may be a kioti, or mahindra, or LS, or even anther kubota. Just dont know yet.

That statement almost makes no sense.

Examples??

You saying that a CNH TC33 can do the same work as a kubota 50hp (L5240, MX5100, M5040)??? I just dont see it.

And engine torque is of less importance (IMO) than engine HP. Quite simply, HP is HP. IT wont change. But you can achieve whatever torque you want with gearing.

I'm not comparing the Kioti to the kubota L3400, I'm comparing it to the L3200. Both prices were the same. I don't know how much more the 3400 goes for.
I just came in from skidding logs, and doing some loader work. I tried to skid the same logs with the Kubota, and it couln't do it. I had no problem with the Kioti. Like I said before there is no comparison between the two. I don't know anything about the L3400 except it's more money, still considered an economy model by the Kubota people, and it still has the Herky Jerky 3pt.

The 3400 is basically the same thing as the 3200. Before the 3200 and 3800 it was the 2800 and 3400. The newer ones have the more modern rounded look to them. But still same basic tractor.

What kind of tires did you have on the kubota and what do you have now? And were the tires on the kubota loaded and are the ones you have now loaded??

Did you try with the loader off on the kubota and loader on, on the kioti?

Are you pulling from the drawbar? or a hitch on the 3ph?

Ground condition? Muddy or dry?

I think there is more variables than just having a kioti CK35 or having a L3200. The kioti is 500 lbs heavier. I'll give it that. Which would help traction. But the way you describe as "kubota couldnt and kioti had no trouble" tells me that something else was different other than the shade of orange you had under you.

With a FEL on and possibly loaded tires, you are looking at a ~4000 tractor with the L3200. And if it absolutly would not budge the logs, I dont think a 4500# tractor with the same tires would do it with "no trouble". Just not that much difference.

But if tires were different, or conditions, or hitch point.....that explains everything.

Yes, that dealer certainly was a very fair minded fella. I am sure some dealers would have balked. But he had an unhappy customer, so he rectified that.

Kubota L3200hst weight 2623lbs.
Kioti Ck35 hst weight 3114lbs

So just shy of 500 lbs.. Understand I am not joining the fight, I am just publishing facts..:D

The Kobuta had Ag tires, loaded. The Kioti has Industrial tires, not loaded (yet).
