Rat,
I like the comparsion too. The
L39 loader has hundreds of pounds of lift on the 110. After looking at the rig again today, I agree that the wheels and tires are a big part of the size difference. Did you notice the weight though, the 110 weighs in at nearly 1,000lbs more. I really like the size of it and its width...very stable looking, nice and fat and wide, with a 7'2" turning radius. The 110 looks tall and tippy in comparison.
My 3830 is extremely clean burning. Within a couple of minutes of startup I can stand right next to the exhaust (at idle) and breath, no problem without the nasty diesel clouds. I can't believe it sometimes. Like you said, it's hard to even know it's a diesel aside from the rubble. It does seem a little different than the
L3830 though....maybe it's the exhaust system.
Not sure what to do about the mower. It wasnt' cheap ( $2,400). It's a real nice HD Woods unit. If it was a rotary cutter, I'd definitely keep it. I just can't see taking the hoe off to mow once a week. But, I will take your advice and keep it just to see how she works with the 39....Afterall, I'm not going to be excavating forever. Maybe I'll just have some guys come to cut the lawn. With the new road project, I'm really not going to have time to do much else. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
