Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
I wonder how much difference the dealer makes in a situation like this. When I purchased a package deal including 4 implements that were not Kubota brand, the Kubota Credit rules stated no implements other than Kubota brand could be financed through them. There was also a special interest rate available. My dealer managed to get me .5% less interest rate than the published rate and get all the non-Kubota implements included in the financed amount. And he didn't use deception with KCC as the contract spelled out the specific implements purchased. AND, he did all that without me ever asking for the special treatment!
Kubota B2910, also Honda HT3813 with mower and front blade.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
Yeah, my deal on my B2910 had a Woods 1160 post hole digger w/12" auger and a Woods 7500 backhoe, subframe and pump. All together, about $6500 of non-Kubota stuff on a $23,000 total (rough numbers based on poor memory /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif).
All info was clearly spelled out on paperwork. Dealer said as long as some percentage (again, poor memory but I think it was 70%-80%) was Kubota equipment and a sufficient down payment was made (I put down 25%), there's no problem.
So, it could be a dealer issue. Might also be that certain states have particular exclusions in financing contract requirements. That never made sense to me, but take a good look at the fine print on the interest/penalty charges your credit card may assess, and you should see what I'm talking about. Insurance rates and terms seem to also fluctuate by state.
I can see why they couldn't refinance the implements in this particular case. I have to side with others and recommend that you just put it on a low interest credit card.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
Kubota dealer called today and said the reason that the company wont finance was the fact that the tractor was paid for and if the loader was on they couldn't come and get it if I didn't pay. ( for the loader) well that doesn't make sense to me but hey I'm not Kubota. I'll just wait and pay cash for the darn thing.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
why not see if you can pay cash for the sub-frame and then finance the loader itself? this way a repo guy could just come and get it if you didnt pay...just a thought.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
I thought of the intrest angle myself and you are right. I asked the dealer what I needed down and he said ten percent. As I have stated I wanted to keep the cash I had on hand and finance. He put in the I would put down $300.00 and finance $2.100. They didn't go for that either. Like I said, I guess I'll just wait and pay cash for it.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
Bigguy,
It never ceases to amaze me how little effort a dealer will put into client satisfaction. I admit I quickly read the various posts, but I think you mentioned this was your 3rd tractor from this dealer.
Who cares what the finance company says. I am part of a small business and if we had a customer who we valued, we would find a way to get him taken care of. In the past, we have dipped into our own pockets to make sure a good customer was satisfied.
We are not talking $1000 riding mowers that won't be working in 2 years--we are talking serious cash for serious machines.
I'm not directing this solely at Kubota either--I've done my share of beating up (in the JD forum) on an experience I had with my dealer.
Re: Kubota won\'t finance new loader for my BX2200.
First let me thank everyone for their response to this post. Second let me bring you all up to speed about this situation. I feel like a circus tiger jumping through hoops for the ring master Kubota Finanicial Credit. I contacted three managers with Kubota Credit in two different zones. One I'll admit was very nice to work with but he was outside my zone as I quickly found out, and he tried in vane to help me . He gave me two names which I called and talked to. the first gentelman said things like " we can't and we wont " " we have our orders from California" "How do we know you paid cash? You could have borrowed the money from a friend and if anything happens he would get the tractor and we would be outta luck getting our loader back." " This has happened before and we lost out on the implement" " If you had a note on the tractor we would finance for you no problem because we would be the first lean holder" and the very topping to the cake " " What makes you think we should take your word for it , how do we know where the money came from?" By this point I was very angry with the whole thing. He basically said no way,see ya, by. Well I called the first man back and he said something isn't right let me make a call and I'll get back to you. He called back and told me he was told to stay out of it that I had to deal with the top man. Well after more hoops and real restraint on my part this is what I had to do. I had to have my Bank manager call and prove to them that I was a " ligit " business person that has had many loans with not one notice on any of my accounts. That I did pay for the tractor with cash and that it was legal and mine to use. They wanted an account search done and thats where I drew the line. Well the second man in my zone said he would try to get the loan through but he couldn't promise anything. This was after all the stupid crap that I had to do to get this far. Well I got a call from my dealer yesterday evening before he left the shop for the day and he said that Kubota Credit had called and stated that they would give me the loan " OH thank you so very *&%&$#&*()^$@#@%^ much but it would require a $900 down payment to complete the process not the typical 10 to 20% down that the dealer had stated. That I would get the 4.19% intrest on the loan and that I must have bent the right ears because they sounded upset about the whole thing. Well hells bells who has more of a right to be upset then me and all of us that own their equipment. Well I guess the squeaky wheel does get the greese, but I'm not sure I like where they put that glob of greese in the first place. My wife says I seem to be walking alittle funny as of yesterday, I told her that it wasn't from the whole experience I went through but that it was from kicking myself in the butt for going through it at all. Well I know it's not the dealers fault, and I know there were some people trying to help me so I guess they all aren't bad afterall. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Now I have to go get my loader put on . /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
