I got 6 hours in today. I think the hourmeter is broken, it goes alot faster than my old gear drive Case/Mitsubishi. What a machine this is! I cut wet brush and grass for an hour or so this morning, picking my way through the woods around trees and stumps as usual. Then it occured to me to try digging a stump out of the way (after a few years with a small tractor, I did not even think about something like that, knowing full well it would be out of the question, having tried and failed.)
Well up she came!, so I dropped the cutter off and started rooting stumps that had Ive been driving around for too long. Granted, they were decayed and the ground was wet, but Ill take what I can get. Then I pushed over a couple of 12 inch fir trees (Chain saw? We doan need no steenking chainsaw!)
I do not recommend that, it is a good way to get speared by a broken top. Then I spent the rest of the day skidding down dead trees and assorted debris that accumilates in the woods. I got the hydrostatic trans. and am not dissapointed. I read some post that complain about the "hydrostatic whine" Man I love that sound! Set the throttle at 1800 RPM in low or midrange and it sings beautifully. I was also surprised that it is considerably quieter than my 25 HP mitsubishi (a very snappy performer with a rather sharp bark)
Still waiting on the rest of the goodies, looking forward to the backhoe.
