Kubota ZD1211 vs John Deere 757

Sorry I left this high and dry. Life got hectic after my last post.

The tall grass I cut was very dry and didn't build up in my deck at all. I noticed the poor quality cut on my 2nd try with the machine so the blades were still "factory" sharp.

I purchased the 92-116 blades but the hole diameter was to small. I called a couple machine shops to try and have the hole enlarged to 1 5/16" but had no luck (they claimed liability reasons). I hope to figure something out this upcoming season.

If you come up with something let me know. I’m in same boat

I have a ZD1011 and had the same issue with not being able to find blades with a hole big enough. I bought one of these and used the drill press to drill the holes, it took some time and a lot of cutting fluid but it got the job done. I used the blades today for the first time, they worked much better than the Kubota blades.

Interesting. How did you ensure the hole stayed true center with the pilot bit being obviously smaller than the factory hole in the blade?

I tried a HD step bit in a drill press, lots of oil and lots of pressure. All I did was scratch the paint.

I used a vise on my drill press, clamp it all down and nothing can move.

The blades are very hard steel, you have to use a carbide bit.
