Porsche did make tractors back in the late 50's or early 60's. I looked at one once but I don't think it had a 3 pt. hitch.

I just read this post and your reply. I've obviously missed something - This is the first I've heard of the L5210. What's different and where can I get more info on it? And what does the upgrade kit consist of?

Just read poll about J-D being #1. Phooy. I've had a G2000
4ws for 9 yrs. You couldn't give me a J-D, there isn't one
good enough to replace my Kubota ( orange rules ).
I looked at A J-D 4ws when they first came out- It's a cheap copy.. Dealer wouldn't recomend a mower bigger than
48 or 50 ins. Price was 5000 more than what I paid and it
had a motorcycle named V-twin. He asked me if I wanted to
trade and what I had. I told him and he just walked away,
and didn't say a word. That says something for Kubota. I know I felt gooood.
PS A few years after that same dealer stole the Kubota
franchise away from the dealer where I bought mine.

If you take the time to read awhile, I think you'll find this list to generally maintain a respectful attitude toward the equipment choices of all the members.

The "We're number one!" sports-fan mentality, and the teen-age "My Chevy is better than your Ford" attitude, don't lend themselves to the cooperative -rather-than-competitive spirit you will find on this list.

I have seen this one-upsmanship discourage participation in otherwise-very-good-lists to the point that I and many others have simply stopped posting... and I am not averse to conflict, IF IT IS REALLY NECESSARY. ( Some of the photography lists have become particularly obnoxious in this respect, and are "infamous" as a result!)

I suggest that the "atmosphere" here is worth preserving, and that you may realize that this is so, if you consider it a bit.

There are more than one good tractor out there... each with this-or-that "edge" over the competition.... NONE OF THEM "rule".

Remember that there are some bright people on this list other than yourself. And some valid opinions , besides your own.

I am no dummy, and have spent more than a year reading/conversing very carefully on this website and elsewhere, before deciding how to spend many thousands of dollars on this equipment (and I am not so well-off that getting my money's worth isn't a consideration).

As it turns out, my JD 4700 is being outfitted at the dealer right now. But I could have chosen another brand for any number of reasons.

There are a great many satisfied Kubota owners in this group. I am glad you are happy with yours.

That's all you really need to say!
