Yesterday I called my Kuboat dealer, but they are closed on Wednesdays....don't ask it's a rural PA thing dating back 100 years to "market day." Anyhow, I left a message on their machine to call me this AM. I wanted to talk about ordering the alternator upgrade kit for my B7510. Never did hear from him.

This afternoon, I called TractorSmart and left a recorded message also. In less than 1/2 hour, Ronnie called me back with all the info including availability (he called Kubota in CA). I gave him the order and expect the item in a few weeks due to shipping across the US. He couldn't have been nicer.

I post this because you long time TBN listers are very familiar with TractorSmart and their service. Newbies like me are not.
Kudos to TractorSmart, and I'm sure I'll buy from them again!

regards,
Steve

HI rbsaver,

This is like dejavu. A couple weeks back I called my dealer to order an alternator upgrade kit for my killer B7610. The receptionist said all the parts guys were busy, but they would call me back. I waited a couple days, then ordered from Tractorsmart. The transaction was smooth as silk.

I still haven’t heard back from my dealer.

Welcome to tractorland. Does your B have the racing orange paint job with metal tone emblems and decals?

I agree with you Steve. I am a new Kubota owner myself and my dealer is out of my way. I needed a few parts so I called Tractorsmart.com and had a great experience. Ronnie was very helpful and he knew his parts. He had Kubota drop ship me the stuff I needed... I got it in a few days and the shipping was only $5. I would also recommend them.

I also would recoment tractorsmart.com - i never talked to anyone though. there website is greatness, very easy to get what you need. it takes me 3 minutes to go to there site, find my Fuel filter, hydr filter, oil filter, iner & outer air filter, and pay for my L4330 HST. If you are a first time buyer or a first time net buyer go there they make it easy.

Kubota at random picks certain tractors and puts into them special hopped up engines and tricked out transmission/rear end components. Then they paint them with a special racing orange paint to make them go faster and put on special metal tone decals that you can only see the difference if you are wearing special Polaroid lens glasses. These machines are super special and you can't believe the difference that the extra horsepower makes. I have a specially built BX22 model and I can't believe all the things that it can do that other BX22 owners only dream of. Mine even came with a experimental steering wheel air bag, but it was destroyed in a April 1st mishap unfortunately. It did save my life though. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Are you around the Lock Haven area? Went to college at Lock Haven State and that is where I ran into the "closed Wednesdays" tradition for the first time. That is over 30 years ago and I had forgot all about that! Welcome to TBN! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm currently in the Scranton area, just moved back after 14 years in Selinsgrove. Both my Bro-in-law and sister-in-law are LHS grads from about 30 years ago.

I've got big racing slicks, BBS Gold Wheels, headers and a 6 point harness, so yupper, I must have one.

BTW, my Kubota Dealer returned Wednesday AM's call at 2 PM.
I explained to him why I called, and since I did not hear from him, I ordered online. He appologized, said he actually had an alternator kit in stock for about the same online price.
regards,
Steve
