Tractor
Multiple Fords and Kubotas
Just learned about this on the other board but details are sketchy.

I understand that it affects L and MX series tractors. Anyone know any details?

Only one I seen so far...TBN.

Recall on a Kubota L4760
I just received a recall on a L4760 about a bolt that may be loose from Kubota and not to use it but to return it it to place of purchase. I hope I dont have to pay to ship it back 2 1/2 hours away.

I have a nearly new L4060. 20 hours on it. We use it daily for lifting things with the loader and it is critical for us.
I dont want a new tractor that has to be to split in two pieces and have its cab removed to do so.

Hopefully Kubota will send notices to affected owners. The only recalls I see on Kubota's website pertain to mowers.

We received a recall note on our new L4701 in the mail today. Bolt may be loose or something. Haven't talked to the dealer but hopefully it is not critical. Going without a tractor for any amount of time right now isn't an optoin.

Those owners with affected serial # L and MX series should be getting a letter from Kubota. I got mine for a new L4060 HSTC on Saturday. I talked to my dealer and it requires splitting the tranny and applying Loctite to a bolt if it's loose.

If you havent got a letter, your dealer has the list of affected serial numbers and can check yours.

The problem is that when the dealer goes to put the tranny back together there are 2 gaskets needed. The gaskets for the MX series are plentiful, not so for the GL series.

This is the part number of the HST gasket which is in short supply TD350-58190, the other is for the HST Mid-case TD270-50290, I'm told there these gaskets are available.

This is a picture of a L3560 which was apart for the inspection, notice the locktite, and also the MX torn apart for inspection in the background. Both tractors were dealer tractors on the lot. Mine was the first customer tractor in the shop for inspection.

This is going to impact alot of tractors, if you have one you better get in line.

...ohhhh boy....I split a little B7510 to do a motor swap....couldn't imagine having to do a big cab tractor. .....That has to be 40 hrs of work for someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Same here.
I would think the recall would be posted if they are sending out letters.

Our 2019 delivered MX5800 just missed it (SN 55184); MX5800 affected units are SN 55887-56223. You can call Kubota with your model number and serial number and they can tell you if it's affected; 888-458-2682

Interesting, any ideas on the MX6000 series?
