L2501 DT Purchase

I don't know... I have a live pto on my MX and a clutch driven on the L3301, I don't really see much of an issue between the two. If I'm running my post hole auger I like the clutch better.

I'm not sure what you are saying or asking. Live PTO still runs off the clutch. My bush hog needs a rebuild so I haven't tried it on my 3301; but behind my 275 I had to take care when letting the clutch out, as it takes a little power to get the blades turning.

The weak spot on the loaders on the economy Ls is rear ballast (possibly the front axle). With loaded R4s & heavy ballast way back on the 3pt I could barely keep the back end on the ground. I helped a friend move a barn full of "1,200lbs" big square bales with my L3200 (basically the same as the L2501 before the emissions revamp). Add in 200lbs or so for pallet forks & some more for the fact the bales were a ways forward & it was lifting way over its rating. The back end was WAY light even heavily balasted.

My new L4060 is way more stable lifting to capacity on the loader with no 3pt ballast when the hydraulics stop lifting. Not surprising given it's a much heavier tractor, but the loader capacity isnt that much higher. Every machine will have a weak point. Just be aware if you don't be mindful of the economy Ls you can easily roll the machine, even if you ballast properly.
