I have a 1993 L2550GST with 800 hours. It is my vineyard tractor and I love it. Great machine. However occasionally now the FEL and the BS will not operate when I start the tractor. Not after idling for awhile or at any rpm. If I shut the engine off and restart then all is fine. Also if I use the FEL as a scrapper in reverse, pulling soil toward me, the hydraulics for the REL and BS soon stops working. Everything else seems normal. I just completed the 800 hour maintence replacing the filters and all but found nothing unusual and it made no difference. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

A hydraulic schematic would be great huh?? But since we don't have that I'll take a wag at it....it sounds like a pressure relief valve is sticking open and just by-passing pressure.
I would check belt tension on the pump for good measure

Thanks for the reply. I assume that's the belt that runs the generator. The belt is 10 years old and I think I'll just replace it. Seems tight enough though. Would the shop manual have a schematic for the hydraulics? I refused to fork over the 100 bucks but maybe I should reconsider.

I don't have a shop manual for my tractor( still in warranty) but I would hope that there is a schematic provided in one. I will find out in a few years when I need one.
