Try not to get too excited about digging 4' deep trenches with an LA463. I won't dare say it's impossible because it's not but you'll really need optimal conditions for this to be effective.

In my hard clay my FEL barely scrapes the surface, even with the tooth bar. If I did tried to dig a 4' deep trench it would take forever, be brutal on the FEL and be far less efficient than a box blade.

These agricultural loader really weren't designed for that type of use.

You will never be happy with the kubotas to do big time digging, I have owned a b2910, 7800, and just bought a l3400 hst, loader, and r-4 with 20 hours for 15,500.
That being said they are all worthless compared to my skid steers and the skid steers are worthless compared to my brothers construction type backhoe loader.
Buy something like a l3400 for normal use and an old semi crappy backhoe for real digging, and you would be suprised how cheap you can pick up an excavator for.
As far as hills like the one dex3361 is on, if its as steep as it looks, I would not be on it with less than a dozer or a skidder.

It really is that steep and the seat belt was on and snug. I would also recommend an HST if you are going to use it on the hills because it allows you to operate on the hills changing directions and/or speed without using the brake or the clutch. I would have got a MX5100 if it had come in an HST.
