L2800 lift shudders

Thanks for the directions. I will check that out this weekend. I just got my L3400 HST back from the dealer. They installed the update kit for pto noise. I also see a new taller filler in the back but i did not get to look very close. The receipt shows 1 oil guage kit, 2 1/2 gallons super udt and $66.00 labor billed to Kubota warranty. The only time I noticed it was with my chipper but what the heck, it might as well get the fix for the problem. Hopefully this is the last trip to the dealer for updates. Brian

I ran out of rod adjustment on mine, now what? It is almost all the way up. A little bit of movement on the rockshaft means alot at the arms.

Finally found the time to bring in my L2800 for its "shudder repair". Dropped off the tractor and 23 pages of this disscussion on Wednesday. Called the dealer today to check on its status and was told that a new valve is on order. Thanks TractorByNet for helping make this easier for us L owners to get our tractors working properly! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I finally got mine done a little over a month ago. What a difference! Today I used the loader and a landscape rake to make a terrace on a hillside, and I could actually control the rake! Thanks, Kubota, for fixing this one. If anyone is still sitting on the fence on this repair, do not hesitate to have your dealer do the work. You'll love it.

Did you have an attachement mounted when trying this adjustment? if so, what kind. I want to try and duplicate your efforts; have the same problem, also a gear tranny...thanks

I stopped by the dealer on the way home and told them that I need to get the valve replaced. The have it on order already, so now they'll call when it comes in and I can get it done, too. No muss or fuss.

Update: Valve was ordered and came in today. I set an appointment to have it replaced next Tuesday. I'll update again when I pick it up after as to how well (or not) it works.

Just want to add to the thread that I just got the 3 point valve changed on my 3400 last week. Told the dealer about the info I found on this site and it was replaced no problem.
Much smoother operation now.

Can anyone find out the exact reasons this valve is being replaced? Do we know for sure that this valve is being replaced and not repaired/adjusted or new spring installed in remidy the issue? Id like to know because the position control on my 2003 4330 moves up at 1 to 1.5 inch intervals. Smooth going down though. There is a lot of lever movement before it goes up as well. I just got the repair manual and there is a nice explination of how the valve functions but no mention of how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance for any help.
