I've not heard anything. Keep us posted. I hope you like your L2800 as much a I like my L3400.

I called 3 dealers today and no one knows about it. My tractor is at the dealer now for a broken PTO cable. I called Kubota eastern div. and he told me not to believe what you read on the net about this problem. It seemed he was going the same route as the dealer. No one in my area wants to fix this with the new valve. What can I do? I am so upset that I can't get this fixed, it is barely useable. My 2800 HST only has 20 hrs. and I don't even have it here. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what to think. My dealer wasted no time getting mine fixed. He said they found something about it on kubota's web site. I assume that the dealers have a special section. Could be the person you talked to at Kubota does not know much. Try another division.

How did your PTO cable break? Be sure they get it adjusted properly or your PTO may not engage all the way causing damage.

I had to call Kubota as my dealer did nothing either. Call Sean Bifani. Kubota Tractor and Implement Product Manager. 310-370-3370. He is very courteous and helpful with any problems on your tractor. It is nice to talk to someone that actually knows about tractors. He got me my new L3400 HST within 2 weeks after waiting 3 months with the dealer saying "nothing yet". I then called about the 3 pt. issue and he gave me an explanation of the problem and the part was sent to the dealer. Sounds like your dealer is not interested in customer satisfaction but I believe Kubota is. Don't give up yet. It is amazing the difference after the valve is installed. I was ready to trade mine in after only five hours of trying to dig post holes with the jerky 3 pt. Good luck. Brian

Well, I called my eastern div. of Kubota and the promply called the dealer. Now the dealer is severely upset with me over it all. He says it is just a waste of time and money, but he is going to put it in. I don't think he will, is there any way to check to be sure? I told him also to do the tranny fluid level upgrade to quiet the ratcheting noise from the pto. Now he is furious! He more or less stated to me that he loses money on warranty repairs and does no like to do them. What a crock! This guy is a real jerk and I will never even buy an air filter from him. He won't get 1 more cent from me! He told me the jumping was normal. BS, I have been around and had a few tractors to know otherwise! I just want to make sure he puts the valve in, he says it won't make any difference at all which leads me to believe he won't do it. Help!

You will be able to tell a big differance in the two valves. With this kind of attitude I don't see how they stay in business. My dealer not been the greatest and has jerked me around on some of the problems I have had with my 2800, but they did replace the valve in my 2800 and it did make a big difference. I would make a copy of this thread and show it to him. Then call your division rep and tell him how you were treated. I doubt it will do much good, but I would at least make a complaint with this jerk.

Hmmm, my L3000DT has done this since day one, but only when the PTO is engaged. Lifting a box blade does not cause the shudder but when I try to lift the mower with it running...well, I've learned not to do that.

Mine went out of warranty a year ago. I wonder if Kubota will fix it?

Dieselsmith, The replacement valve is the same valve that goes into a L3010.
Your dealer obviously doesn't want to fix your tractor which is sad. Although he is partly correct about not making any money on warranty repair since Kubota will only pay so much for the repair and if the work exceedes that amt. then it comes out of his pocket and the mechanic if he is on commision.
I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't gouge people on non-warranty items.
You may want to call the BBB to see if he has any complaints about him.

Is there another Kubota dealer in your area? Any dealer can do warranty work and any dealer who gave you attitude like that has no business selling anything. Even if you have to transport it I would. Yes, the valve will make a huge difference. My dealer picked up the tractor, installed the valve and then returned it right to my driveway. You should not have to put up with that kind of attitude and I would call your Kubota rep back and tell them how you were treated. Have you filled out your survey card yet? If not, HAMMER them. Yeah, I could do that. Still, is there any physcial way to tell other than the operation if it has been done? No other dealers in my area would touch it. They told me to take it back to where I got it from. I tell you what, people say the got bad service from Deere, but when I bought my new 2210 my dealer was at my house during a tornado putting my mower deck on and the dealership was 40 miles away! He had to because I was to impatient to wait to have it installed on a Saturday evening they had to stay over and put it together. The same dealer even brought me over a nice Deere lawn tractor to mow my grass with all summer because I did not have a mower on my Kubota. He even knowsI bought a Kubota and don't have the 2210 anymore. That is service. He has also had my family over to his house for picinics! Why can't all dealers be similar to that.
