Good luck, you have the hard part (the bucket stipped of the ears) done,, the welding is almost fun..

Removing the ears and grinding the bucket was about an hour process each side. I didn't have my torch so I used my ESAB 650 plasma.

Figured I would follow up after the discussion about where to weld. You were spot on, went to get some paint at kubota today and stuck a tape on a SSQA bucket at the shop.

So here's mine lined up.

I'm going to finish it off tomorrow with some reinforcements similar to what you did to your bucket. Ran out of daylight today.

Cool, you will enjoy having it, and the quick change ability. I still have mine even though I have the Kioti bucket too.

Nice job. I switched my TC40DA over to SSQA and it was the best thing I could have done. Now I have pallet forks, a hay spear and a receiver hitch plate in addition to the bucket. I use the receiver hitch to move trailers around when I mow and I bought a pintle hitch mount to move my fuel trailer which is a surplus military trailer. I use it with 6' sling straps to pick up things, just hook the ends in the pintle hitch. Gets the load close to the pivot point and makes it easy to lift.
