Not sure if you found this, but the L3200 replaced the L2800 and the L3800 replaced the L3400. Kind of confusing, but 3200 is a new model and 3400 is an old model.

I did my friend, but i dont understand why you can still build the 3400 on the kubota web site if its discontinued. by what im reading i would rather have the 3400 if i could find one.

Yeah, it's strange. The L2800, 3400 and 4400 have been replaced, but are on the site along with the new models, L3200, 3800 and 4400.

If you're interested in the L3400, take a look at the L3800. I've had mine 6 months now and love it.

Good man! I've really been impressed with mine. Stronger, more nimble than I expected and super simple to operate.

Just be sure to thoroughly test out the 3PH BEFORE you sign papers. Most of the tractors in that series had a jerky valve that kubota just couldnt get a handle on. Some are worse than others, and some people can live with it while it is a deal-breaker for others. IF you can get around that, it is an excellent tractor the money

Thanks for the heads up ld, my old man has a 4300dt and it has the same issue. takes a bit of getting used to, but manageable, for me anyways. He is constantly complaining about it but he is a perfectionist too.

Thats kinda odd, I didnt know it effected the 4300.

The only ones we believe have issues are the 2800/3400/3700 and the 3200/3800

My old 4300 was a little jerky but nowhere near as bad as some of the smaller tractors. I didn't realize how bad it really was until I got my 3540.

yes there is nothing smooth about his. you really have to pay attention when setting stuff down or can slam cause the lever is kinda hitchy.

Not all L series though. My L3800 is fine... But it is something to check.

I think you got an experimental model.
When they discovered that yours worked correctly, they destroyed the plans.:muted:

Who knows? It did have 14 hours on it when I got it. ;)

Most important, is I'm Very Pleased with it...

Yeah sure your happy! But what about the poor guy that accidentally sold it to you?

He's probably locked away in a tower on Kubota Island.

LOL  :D. I bought it from my local dealer, said it was traded in for a larger rig. But who really knows... Best I can tell the valve body has never been off.

I do think the jerky hitch is a bit blown out of proportion though. Not sayin there isn't a problem, just not a Huge problem...;)

My brother in law has a L4400 and said his hitch isn't very jerky.

Ever seen the vids posted by members here or on youtube????

here, I like this one

Now imagine that bad, only with a 700lb blade or heavy bushhog and imagine how bad it jerks the tractor and operator around:confused2:

Yeah, I've seen em. That one is unacceptable!

The question is how many are sold vs how many are bad jerky...
