As I mentioned earlier my Ford 1910 grinds when coming from neutral if you don’t wait. I always close the throttle to idle before shifting. That helps a lot. I assume you are doing that too. I always thought that these non-syncro tractor transmissions had the same issue.
If you have not, I would find a new L3400DT at a dealer and get a test drive and see how it compares to yours. If it is much better you can talk to the dealer with that knowledge. At least the clutch adjustment should be checked.
