None - thinking L4400HST
Can anyone tell me how tall a L3400 with the folding ROPs is? The Kubota site says the fixed ROPs is 85" and a folding ROPs is optional but it doesn't give the height of the folding ROPs. I know folding ROPs are usually taller. I'm wondering if a L3400 with R1s and folding ROPs will fit through an 8' tall garage door (with the ROPs up). Thanks!

I am at work right now, otherwise I would measure mine. I am putting up a new shed and went with a 9 foot door. I did not want to have to worry. I am sure my R4 tires fit an 8 footer as I almost got it in my 7 foot door at home. I just want to have enough room for my mistakes. I know I will make some.

I don't have a L3400, But a grand L3130 with folding ROPS and taller R4's and I can tell you it will be close. I have a 8' door myself and it fits within a few inches. Should be ok as long as it is a full 8'. Not sure if the AG's are taller or not. May want to check with your dealer.

On my L3400HST with R4's the folding ROPS measured 84 1/2 inches high.

THANKS!!!!!!!
That's very good news! The difference between R4s and R1s can't be very much. Sounds like a L3400 will fit through an 8 foot opening without a problem. Thanks to all! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the difference from R1 to R4 is about 4 inches. That would put you about 2 inches higher than my R4 unit.

An 8 foot door may not be exactly 8 feet though. You may want to measure to be sure, if you haven't.

Thanks for the heads up ccsial. I've actually got 94" so if we're talking around 87" on a L3400 with the folding ROPs up I'll have plenty of room to get her through. I really appreciate your help.

By the way, sorry about posting to the wrong place. I originally posted under "Kubota Pricing/Buying" (because I'm going to be buying) but my post was moved to "Kubota Owning & Operating". I guess it got moved because I'm asking a question to Owners and Operators! Oops! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I'd have done the same since your a potential buyer and not an owner or operator yet. It all worked out though.

I keep the tractor in a building with an 8 foot door too. I love the folding ROPS's so I can pull it into my house garage, where my tools are, to service and clean it.

Enjoy your new tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
