You have a good taste in chainsaws then, and now in tractors as well, I think you will really like the 3400 or the 3130 whichever you choose...I just wish I had more time on it...

I got my Stihl to match the Kubota, but now the saw looks a lot nicer than the 25 year old paint on the tractor, so I guess I need a new tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I was worried about not having a QA type bucket, but as I lay in bed last night thinking about this, I thought... I CAN MAKE A QA FOR IT. I will make a QA this summer when I get a set of used forks for it.

Yes, I know.. the 3130 HAS QA's, and more lift capacity... But the 3400 is already an upgrade to me over the JD 790 that I had my mind made up on in almost all ways. So in a way, just by going to a Kubota, I am already going with a bigger machine. (oh, and saving about $1000.00 too!)

Yeah you can't have the stihl looking better than the tractor, most definetely time to get a new one... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am glad to know I am not the only one laying in bed awake at night thinking about these kind of things... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've had my L3400HST for about 8 months now and love it. I have 120 ac. and find it able to do anything I've asked it to do. It dosen't have all the bells and whistles the grand L series has but I'm quite happy with it. What ever fits your budget is what counts.

I did the deed this weekend. I took the 1st step towards the L3400DT With FEL. The final price was $15545 wth an additional block heater installed. I opted to pay a little more to go with a dealer who has been in business much longer than the other one.

If all goes well, they would like to get the deal done by the end of the month.

Luckilly, I have my wife's blessing on this toy, instead of showing up with it! I'm psyched!

I think I'm going to start working on a log arch now.
