I've never run into anything like this but now you've got me a bit worried. I have a 300 gallon tank. I go through about 100 gallons a year.

100 gallons is the min they will fill so I get them to fill up 100 gallons each year when I see it gets low. Just had it filled and dumped a powerservice bottle into it.

Touch wood three years that I have been doing this now and the diesel seems to be in decent condition.

I did add a water block filter to my pump so perhaps the combination of that and the PowerService that I add is helping. I don't think you could get much more stale than mine though sitting around for a year.

I have a 300 gallon also. I fill it about once a year. I add Power Service (white) and also add Power service product called "Biokleen" which prevents algae. I run a 2 micron filter on the pump. I get ULSD but no bio fuel.

I am now getting on road fuel since I use it in my truck and hopefully soon in an Acura diesel if the EPA ever lets Honda sell it here. I pay some tax on the tractors but I don't want to risk the $10,000 fine for having red in my truck.

ccsial - had never heard of the Bio Kleen. I will try to source it locally. I've been using only the anti gel white bottle.

I have a Goldenrod fuel filter as well but 10 microns.

I can't find anyone local who stocks it. I had to order it online.

Wow, that is quite long. We have one about 100 foot and maybe a 10 or 12 foot drop. I havent figured out a braking system yet, though. I made a barrel ride for the kids but have to run behind it with a "rope braking" system to slow them before the end. That gets old.
