Need some advice on wiring /switch for rear work lights . Previous owner installed lights on ROPS and connected to exsisting wires on rear fenders .
Lights work fine but draw power as soon as the key is either turned on or turned to glow plug position.

I'm no mechanic and wiring is a challenge so i'd very much appreciate some advice on how to properly install a switch into the circuit .

As the lights work fine and have now for a year would i be safe mounting a switch in a
pre-exsisting hole (factory plugged) on the left side of the dash and inserting the switch into the circuit between the power source and the (2) added work lights ?

Sure - that would work fine. It would let you turn them off for starting or running the glow plugs.
