Kubota L3710
I have a L3710 HST tractor and I have had it for over 20 years and never had any trouble starting it except when the batteries went dead. The other day 3 weeks ago I used it for one or two hours then put it away. When a day or two later I went to use it it would not start it was dead except for two lights on the check panel, the oil pressure light and the battery light. I had a new battery in it but I cleaned the terminals and check the voltage all was fine. So I tried again and the same happen. Then I jumped the tractor with my truck and tried again this time nothing came on. The next day I tried it again and the two lights on the panel came on again but on it won't start?

Is there an in line fuse?
Did you try a cable from plus on battery to
Solenoid on starter?
Check your cables with ohm meter
crud could have eaten cable where you
can't see

Thanks for all your ideas I will try them.

It sounds like either you didn't clean the terminals well or the connectors were not adequately tightened. Follow the ground terminal to the frame. Clean and tighten there as well.
Almost the exact issue I had with my GST of the same flavor only it was the Positive lead. Replaced the terminal after cleaning and preping the cable end it fired right up. Silly me thinking a seated terminal equals good connection. ;-)

I checked all the fuses and they are fine, but I have searched for the Accelerator Switch and it is not where they say it is?

I checked the battery terminals and cleaned them also cleaned the ground wire to the tractor and cleaned it. There was a fuse to the starter and it was ok.

Make sure the PTO is off and the range lever is in neutral. I had a stick get stuck in one of the safety switches and caused this very problem. Those safety switches will keep it from turning over.

I used the Idea of jump starting by running a jumper from the positive side of the battery to the solenoid contact with the key on. When I touched the jumper wire to the wire I had put on the solenoid it sparked bad an melted the end of my wire?

Did you make good contact with the
wires?? You can melt the post on a
battery if you do not make good contact
like putting a clamp on makes good
contact no sparks etc.
But then again if you have a dead short
you can melt the wires
