Congrats to the new machine. I think you will find that the rear will need more weight then just filled tires. Add another #700-800 on the hitch and that will keep the wheels firmly on the ground. Nothing is wrong with a manual tractor as long as it's used in the right gear for the job.

igot my L38 on friday of last week i put 2.5hrs on it rears to lite need tires filled need hooks on bucket only problen so far reverse is not on gear shifter and there no med speed i dont love it or hate it to early to tell not enough hrs on it

My rear tires are filled and I hook up a Heavy box blade when using FEL, works great! I am goin to add more weight the the box blade though.

I also didn't like the reverse leaver being part of the high/low range shifter, but after I got used to it, it is fine. I think now I like it better than having it on the gear shifter, like the older ones.

What I like best about the 3800, is mowing with the FEL off. It is so nimble, turns very tight. Power steering super smooth and easy. Just a pleasure to operate.

i was doing fel work the other day the thing was walking sid ways on me i need tires filled i dont know wat to use calium or rv washer fluid the kubota is way way to lite and i was going to reverse the rear tires to kick them out looks like i cant do that with r4s and so i can put chain on it

the kubota is no camparo to the 245 case ih we put 11k on the kubota wont last near as long im not inpressed with it at all i hate it i shold of bought a skid steer

First, the tires need to be filled for loader work and weight should be added to the 3pth. Ag (R1) tires have more traction, maybe that's what you needed? Mine has loaded R1s and traction isn't a problem.

Did you compare the weight of the Kubota to the Case? I'm not familiar with the Case, but you need to compare apples to apples. Maybe the Case was a lot heavier?

With the 3800 being heavier and a lot more power, it should work circles around the Case.

The 3800 probably has a much larger/heavier loader and without extra weight at the rear, it's goin to have a traction issue. Mine does not handle a full bucket of dirt/gravel very well without a 500 lb + implement on the 3 pt hitch. Handles it very well with the extra weight on rear, as does most every other tractor.

But if you hate it that much and don't want to learn how to use it, trade it on something else.

We own several brands and none will work well without proper ballast and weight distribution, I don't care what it is.

We tried a skid steer for a couple of months and had a friend do some work on one of our farms; very capable , but not for us.
