i guess i need to make my rear blade up im making it out of a 10' wide grader blade im cutting it down its bout an inch thick i dont know if the 3pt will handle it at 5 foot i want a 6 foot its going to be to much is my guess
A heavy rear blade on the 3 pt hitch will make all the difference. Something between 500 - 1000 lbs should be fine, maybe even a bit heavier.
I will sometime use the loader with no weight on the rear, but only when pushing brush around, or moving mulch. If I'm working with dirt, gravel, or anything heavy, I'll have the box blade on the 3 pt.
Like I said before, I've been very impressed with the L3800, but the weight/ballast has to be right. Loaded rear tires is a must, but weight on the 3 pt hitch is even more important for loader work.
