Dirt Moving L3800

I just purchased a l3800 hst and I have a hill at my house that needs to be regraded it will require large amounts of dirt to be moved I was wondering if this is bad for my tractor or loader to dig with it

As long as you remember that it is a loader and not a bulldozer you will be fine. take it slow and easy. A boxblade will likely be better for scraping out and moving the dirt to a pile and then using the loader to pick it up and carry or load it in a transport.

Ditto that. I dug a duck pond with mine. I used a middle buster about every two feet to loosen up the dirt. Then just scooped it up with the loader. I have some pretty hard clay down around 18 inches. No match for the middle buster. It went much faster than I originally expected. Grinding away at that clay with the FEL just seemed to be really hard on all the parts.

If you're doing much digging a tooth bar on the bucket will make the job much easier. If the ground is hard a subsoiler or middle buster will be worth using.

I put in a driveway last year 120 ft long and 30 ft wide. This required removing all the top soil (and rocks) to a depth of about 10" and then putting in a base of ballast stone with crush & run on top. All done with an L3800.
