- 2005 L39 Kubota, 2020 Polaris 570 Sportsman, 2006 RTV 900, 2019 RTV1100C, 1997 Komatsu PC75UU2E w/ Thumb & Blade, 2013 Mahindra Max28XL Shuttle plus many attachments
This weekend, before expanding the doggie hotel fenced in area (It's too big and nice to call it a kennel!) I took down several pine trees including a 90 footer with 18" dia. trunk, along with 3 medium large dead or dying oaks at our southern New Hampshire home skidding and moving the logs with my trusty old B7200.
The B7200 will knock down smaller pines up to about 5" diameter and I can lift out the root ball with the bucket.
(The L39 is going to our future home/farm site in Central NH)
On the smaller Southern NH lot, I appreciate the smaller B7200. Even with 600 lbs of steel plate as ballast added to the loader frame & loaded rear tires, I had to be careful not tipping the tractor lifting and grappling the larger logs if I did not pick them up evenly on level ground.
Admittingly, I have turned up the relief valve on the B7200, but not to the point of it becoming unsafe. I don't think that's even possible given the tiny hydraulic cylinders and 4 GPM Pump on the B7200.
Some have commented on how much faster a LA723 loader is than a L39. I think the L39 is plenty fast. The LA723 I operated once was scary fast.
Anyone thinking any Kubota has slow hydraulics have not operated Deere's with 420 or 430 Loaders or brands like Kioti! The speed of the L39 Loader is just right. If the dealer just sets the pressures, I sure I'll be a happy camper.
I had a Kioti LA3054XS TLB on order with deposit, but canceled for the slightly larger L39 when the land buy in central NH happened. The 3 reasons that prompted me to cancel the Kioti purchase were
1. Wicked slow hydraulic. The KL1231 loader is powerful, but very slow. the total hydraulic capacity of the 3054XS is only 10 GPM. Anyone thinking any Kubota has slow hydraulics have not operated the older Deere's or brands like Kioti! The speed of the L39 Loader is just right. If the dealer just sets the pressures so that the machine meets spec., I sure I'll be a happy camper.
2. Cramped operator station. This 3054 was basically an updated 1985 design before the Koreans figured out Americans have big butts, feet and long legs.
3. I did not think 30 HP was going to cut it on 17 Acres that needs "construction" type work. I figure I can give the B7200 a rest, leaving the heavy lifting for the L39, once we move.
The Kioti was %60 the cost of the L39.
Kioti's new DK45S w/KL-451 loader Specs similar to the L39, with more power and optional Air conditioned cab and is worth a look as an Agricultural machine, but the BH is about 70% of the L39 and the L39 Hydraulics blow the DK45S's away, fit and finish are better on the L39.
No word from the dealer yet on the L39 Loader issue.
