I have a ? in regards to this seal "A" in the cut out view.
sealsnumbered.jpg
According to my dealer and the serial number of my tractor,"MY" seal is just an o-ring. Part number 150 in attached.

Everything that I've seen and read has this as a totally different seal,
could someone help verify that MY seal is the correct one?
Before I tear it apart and discover that I need a different seal.
If this is the correct seal can you replace this seal from the top or does everything have to go out the bottom?

I would order a shop manual specifically for your model. Then you will have disassembly and assembly instructions as well.

Where exactly is your leak? Pretty important to pinpoint it.

Your dealer is right - the upper diagram in your post doesn't apply to a L4150.

The lower diagram does - better copy attached - printed from the factory parts list website There are two versions of the 120/150 o-ring seal - depending on tractor serial number. The 04811-50700 o-ring is for S/N below 60897.

I believe the 120/150 o-ring can be accessed from the top, but the larger lower seals are more likely to be the problem - and they come out from below. A repair manual is a good idea - it has more details of your tractor's construction and the seal replacement procedure.

BTW - your original post's upper drawing is from a 2008 thread about smaller L models. L3 models (including L4150) are quite different.

Good luck - Dick B.

Thanks for the link, very helpful. dealer printed me the kingpins pdf. My serial number is 60146.
kingpin leak.jpg This is where it's leaking from.
My understanding is that I can replace this seal from top,
I was hoping that was the case.

Curiously how many hours you have on your 4150. I have the larger model in that series and so far no repairs of any nature, but not many hours either.
