Oil & Fuel L4310 - how to check the oil

I changed the oil recently and am trying to find the dipstick.....I did find a plastic cap on the side of the block that opens easily and seems to look into the crankcase.??

How do check the oil on these things.....(new owner 2003 model)

Any ideas.

Have you tried the owners manual? If you don't have one, try an internet search.

Left side (sitting in the seat) of the motor, mid block. Can't miss it.

It's that knob right in the middle of the pic on the tractors left side. Thats your dipstick and it can be a little sticky in there if you've got fat fingers.
