Is there any problem with me getting the 723 loader rather than the 853 to mount on the L4330? Is there any L4330 with the 723's out there?

Tosh, first, welcome to TBN. However I am confused. most people want to get the largest strongest implement which a tractor was built to handle. The LA853 was especially made for that size tractor. The L4330 has the heavier front axle to handle the extra load (2276 pounds). The bucket is larger on the LA853 (except for the quick attach bucket, which is the same). The hydraulic cylinders are larger on the LA853, the lift is 11" higher, the breakout force and lift capacity is greater. The only reason I can think of for a smaller FEL is cost and weight. But I think in the long run you would miss the extra everything of the LA853. But to answer you question - I don't know if it is physically possible to put the 723 on the L4330 all my references have only the 853 listed for that tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a l4330 with the 853 loader and am very pleased with the combination. If money is the major concern I would look at a woods loader. Although I choose to stay with a kubota loader the woods are very good and they have a virtually identical equivalent loader for close to $500 less. This would give you a high end loader and still save you a few dollars.

It's that extra 11" that I would be envious of. After having a L48 with its much bigger loader then either of these, I don't miss the lift/breakout as much as the extra height the loader has. The LA 853 will allow one to load a dumpster more easily then the LA 723. The bucket size as I understand is identical on the LA 723/LA853. Even if it's not it's must be close as looking at them, it is not obvious. As I recall, they were about 14 cu ft. capacity. My L48 was 21 cu ft. I would settle for nothing less on the L4330 then the LA 853.

Rat, The "quick attach" buckets for the LA723 and the LA853 are the same size and their heaped capacity is 13.1 cu. ft. However, the square and round "rigid" buckets, although are all 72" wide have slightly larger depth height, length, capacity and weight specifications on the LA853. Since the depth, height and length dimensions are larger only by 1"-2" they would definitely look the same side by side but the heaped capacity on the 723 rigid bucket is 10.9 cu. ft. while the heaped capacity on the 823 rigid bucket is 13.1 cubic ft. Soooo If one has the 723 loader and wants the same capacity in a bucket as the 853 (rigid or QA) just get the quick attach on the 723.
I have to stop now, I'm about to confuse myself. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Hi Tosh,

I had decided to buy a L3830HST with a 723FEL. That was until I saw how much stronger the 853 was built. I ended up with the L4330HST with the 853FEL.

My 2 cents is get the 853.

I don't think it is so much an issue of getting the LA 723 vs the LA 853 as much as get the L4330 or the L3830. For several thousand more dollars and the need for a higher lift height, go with the L4330 and the LA 853 Kubota loader. If lift height is not an issue, get the L3830 or smaller and put the extra few thousand into implements. While admittedly the LA 853 has more lift capacity etc., think about what you need. If your moving hundreds of yards of material, my take is don't get either. Rent a full size loader. I used my L48 to move approximately 2000 yards of material. The L48 is much larger then either the LA 723 or LA 853 and if I had it to do over, I'd rent a larger loader and put the wear and tear on it. Another .02 cents

MSRP it is $2200 more. I didn't pay MSRP. I think it cost about $1600 to go from the L3830 to the L4330 with loader. Still too much.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It turned out to be a very good choice for me. Just the right size for what I ask of it. Thats what counts. I actually started with the L4630, the dealer talked me out of it knowing my needs. The dealer was right, I thankfully have a good one.

Look at what your going or want to use the tractor with first. Then break out the brochures. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
