The dealer in Franklin next to the Ford place has the best prices. He now says if I pay cash can get 5040 for 23,900.

You are near Brison City. It has been a while since I was in Franklin. Tried to get a new customer in that area but was priced to high. Beautiful country in and around Franklin.

My dealers are in Shelby and Lenoir NC. Best price I received on M5040 was $24,000 with FEL, R1 tires. I almost pull the trigger but thought the 3130 would be better for the landscaping around the house we are building. Once that is done it back to the negotiations;) .

I have been a proud owner of an L4400 with LA703 loader since June of 06. The tractor has far exceeded my expecations and I can't imagine needing anymore power. All 4 wheels will turn before the engine bogs down. Highly recommended to anyone. A great price, great quality and great deal!

I've got the L4400 too and it is indeed a great, no frills bargain of a machine. But, once you start looking at 6040 and 7040s, you've gotten into a whole different class of tractor.

nc1100, have you looked in Hendersonville? I shopped there and they were very nice. Good price but not the best one I found. Had they been closer to home I would have liked to have done business with them.

Sorry to hear that, sounds like you turned out okay anyway.

Just kidding, which I can do since I live right near Gastonia in Rock Hill.

For what it's worth, we've got an MX5000 with an LA853 loader, quick attach bucket, and Aldomi bale spear. It picks up and moves around 5x5 round bales without grunting.

Good luck in your decision.
