Philip, what do you find the need or benefit for the hydraulic top link? That hitch has a rating of 2700 pounds plus of lift and was wondering what would be needed for that. Does it apply down pressure with ground engaging equipment?

It makes it easier to hook up equipment, you dont have to screw the oem link in or out. Also, you can adjust angle of equipment (grader blade, box blade, auger, etc) as needed from the seat. It does not apply down pressure, your lift arms will float up. You can really pivot your mower up for blade sharpening without having to slide underneath. Philip.

Like what you would find on a brake caliper. It is a 90 degree fitting, thru bolt with center drill, and two sealing washers. Google may give better description and picture. You will thank me again after you use it a few times, trust me. Philip.

Also very handy for backing onto a slope, easing into heavy brush or for transport.

Are they all quoting same bucket? There is standard duty square back and heavy duty round back. I would get at least one remote to operate a hydraulic top link. Philip.

Good call on the buckets - $400 difference (MSRP). Quotes all just said 72" QA bucket which could be any of them. Should've gotten DETAILED quotes.

And that hydraulic top link is brilliant. I will be adding remotes myself - can't handle paying what the dealers ask, and even if I try to have them "throw it in" feel like I'll be paying for it (was quoted $800 for 1 set). The 3rd function will also be down the line, maybe a WR Long or similar upgrade.


How do you feel guys about filled tires? Seems to me there are better (and more flexible) alternatives to adding weight.

I like weight, but I like to remove it when not necessary. A heavy implement or ballast box does the trick. Philip.

Same here. Your response time goes down with loaded tires also and will effect fuel consumption when it is there and you don't need the weight at the time in addition to the hassle of having to fix a flat if needed. It's a whole nuther undertaking with filled tires where without you fix it with a repair plug kit on the spot and don't have to pay for the the fluid of choice as well not to mention what it would take to put it in.

For our bigger tractors, we use filled tires and weight. We find filled tires add stability on slopes. Wheel weights/cast centers work fairly well, but cost a lot more.

No question that tire repair is harder with filled tires, but for us it works well.

Told 'em to scrap the filled tires. I like having the option.

And buckets are the same - 72" squareback.
