Hello TBN'ers
It has been years since I have posted to the forum because I was without a tractor for a while (I had a B2150HST for a dozen years but it has been about 4 years since I owned a piece of land requiring a tractor). I have a new piece of land and have purchased a L48 from a guy who has owned it since new. It came with many extras and I could not pass it up. I have driven the machine, checked all of the regular functions and am heading out to get it on Friday. But .... the previous owner called me to say that as far as he knows it does not have any glow plug function. He knows no way to run glow plugs prior to starting it. I find this bizarre to be honest, how do you operate a tractor in New England winter without glow plugs? Anyhow, I want to figure this out ASAP. The L48 controls are somewhat different than the older B2150 from my assessment. With my B2150 I recall just rotating the key an extra 15 degrees clockwise and a red light indicating that the glowplugs were on. Can anyone that owns an L48 please let me know how the glowplugs are operated.
Thanks for any help.
Jeff
