Parriss59, welcome to TBN....we want to hear what you are doing and how things are going in Aussie land.

Also, am curious about the problems you had with your L5030 ... mine continues to be problem free with over 600 hrs on it. I used it all day yesterday and this morning playing in the dirt. :D

My Kubota dealer called me today and was wondering if i was still interested in the tractor...i see the neurosurgeon on the 18th...if all goes well i will probably place the order on the 19th....the way the economy is going kubota might pay me to take the tractor off their lot...wouldn't that be nice.:D

L5030 was gutless in comparison , no torque ,trani was not as smooth , thirsty on fuel, aircon not efficient kept blowing fuses .As I said a piece of crap from the word go and it cost me $12,000 change over to find out.

My L5030 was ,in relative terms, half the tractor of the 5740 . In Power/torque terms no comparison . I think my 5030 was a friday machine /lemon/ not up the specs offered by kubota . Im glad to hear you are happy with yours. Im glad I traded mine in .

good news bad news....the doctor said under restrictions "the patient...that's me...is on complete temporary disability"....next visit 6 weeks....the good news is my dealer has me qualified for the 0% down 0% interest for the 54 months on what i want with the L5740 HSTC. i am not missing any physical therapy appointments and doing my home exercises 3 times a day...time is running out for me on the great kubota deal.

There are some really HARD times headed our way, SM. The manmade disaster on Wall Street will cost us all dearly. Even state and local governments are in major trouble and will be reducing headcount. Few jobs will be secure.

Get yourself well and keep yourself solvent. Don't take on big debt just because some deal of Kubota's is about to run out. There will be other deals from Kubota, maybe even better, before this thing turns around.

Save your pennies and keep looking. There could be a lot of nearly new tractors on the market at low prices before long. Your wife has a point about debt.
FWIW

i guess i am not in my right mind....i think about this tractor daily....my problem is, i am not getting any better health wise....a second mri next week on the back again. my leg pain after surgery is always around. my kubota sales dealer is a good man and has gone out of his way to accommodate me. the great finance deal looks like it will pass me by...no one can tell me if there will be an extension on the kubota finance plan. December 31st is the deadline... unless the media is full of malarkey it seems that kubota would make the finance deals even better for potential buyers.... any thoughts on the kubota financing?

In all likleyhood the good financing deals will be around for some time to come. I will say a prayer for your speedy recovery and let us know how your back is doing.

what a difference a day makes...just wondering how kubota justifies the price increase...L5740hstc w/loader up til 12/31/08 $34,275.00 - 0 % down 0 % finance 54 months...1/01/09 L5740hstc w/loader $40,920.00 - 15 % down 0 % finance 42 months. a $6645.00 increase for the same machine seems unreasonable in these economic times.:( looks like the dream for us is over! ... find out the results of the second MRI 1/5/09 from the neurosurgeon. a second surgery would be devastating for us and i would hate to think what kubota would be asking for this unit 3 months from now...(offer ends 3/31/2009).

The price increase is just not right!!!!! If those prices are across the board it will "kill" Kubota sales here in the USA.

I think you can still get the old pricing if you find a in stock 5740hstc that is left over from 2008. I got a 3240hstc and got a great deal and avoided the small price increases that came about during 2008 by getting my dealer to locate a older stock "new" 3240hstc and it saved me over 1k. This price increase should only apply to the tractors delivered to the dealer after 1-1-2009. I would think you can locate a 2008 5740hstc without much problem.
