Lack of response from Kioti on loader repair program

/ Lack of response from Kioti on loader repair program #81
Well let me tell you what I think about the time frame and you all know how I am with Kioti and I also know that Kioti does indeed read this forum.

I think that this time frame to get the loaders done SUCKS.I am leaving this morning to go to Kioti and I WILL voice my opinion!

It is not an issue that I have 100 of these to do I can get that done in a week but it comes down to the convience of the customer.
For example..
A customer with 85 hours on his machine may want to bring it in for a 100 hour service and I know that sometimes it take people several months to accumulate these hours.

As far as a customer doing it themselves, I did speak to Kioti on this and they really did not want it like that.

I also know that alot of people don't really have a "servicing dealer" or they are just to far away from a Kioti dealer.

So my question and concerns are shared with everyone.
I will let everyone know the out come.
I will be back Sunday.

Way to go Rick! I truly hope Kioti recognizes the value of dedicated yet independent minded dealers like yourself. Their corporate culture seems to ignore their customer wants/needs etc especially on customer relations issues and there is no one more capable of teaching them those lessons than the excellent Kioti dealers who frequent TBN.

Give'm H*ll!:p

Do any of the dealers know if Kioti will allow a dealer to order the repair kits but permit the customer to install it? As others have noted, the kit is just a bolt on affair and it seems like someone who can change the oil should be able to install one. If they were a really innovative, responsive and customer focused company:confused: , they might even go so far as to post detailed instructions and a video on their website on how to do the installation.
I would think that liability issues would prevent customer installation.

I'm sure that is part of Kioti's thinking but how is this different than installing your own oil filter or canopy or doing any other maintenance on your tractor? Kioti claims the cracking is not structurally important anyway or at least they did not see fit to tell us to stop using the cracked loaders while they worked on a repair program. If liability is the concern I for one would be more than happy to sign a waiver/release in trade for the right to install it myself and save myself a few hundred dollars in transportation costs plus hours of wasted time.

IMHO I think that Kioti has taken a cavalier attitude about this loader issue from its inception. It doesn’t now surprise me that they are again using poor judgment in their consumer relation’s campaign regarding their proposed repair. Such a short window of time to get your equipment to the dealer has no rationale other than some unknown economic benefit to Kioti with a let the customer-be-*** kicker. Which only adds to my dissatisfaction after inspecting their “KIT” from the posted information here on TBN. Again in my humble I would label it mediocre and distinctly not as good as it could be. Will it suffice? I have my concerns. Perhaps this repair might not even work, and after spending time and expense to schlep your tractor or loader assembly to a dealer then what?

I would say it is a safe bet that this program is being implemented with Kioti’s best interest at heart. I would imagine that this “KIT” including installation is much, much, more economical than manufacturing a welding a plate adaptable to the torque tube as many here have suggested, and having a local CERTIFIED welder install it, or to have a traveling team of experts traveling to dealers to effect repairs there. Hence their decision THE BOTTOM LINE – and let the customers-be-dammed

Is this what you bought when you purchased your loader? I think this -value argument- follows along the debate line regarding frame mounted backhoes and those that mount via the three-point hitch. Most people feel that the frame mount is much more sturdy and hence desirable. If you purchase a frame mount but end up with a three point hitch type it tends to scrape the delicate regions of your thinking apparatus. With that said, if I was to install that “KIT” on my loader, every time I used it I would feel apprehensive about it loosening and continued cracking under the newly installed shroud. It leaves an unknown factor, which seriously diminishes my comfort factor.

As an option I would think that they would have at least had the courtesy to offer to send it to you at your location, at their expense with adequate instructions for installation, or offer free installation at the dealer of your choice. As for myself, as I have previously stated that I am not wasting my time with so-called repair “KIT”. I intend to do it myself in a professional manner and at such time I will post my project here for scrutiny and you all can be the judge. I am not one to stand around waiting to be rescued when the escalator breaks down.

While not a Kioti owner, I can clearly see the reason behind all of the frustration. My only thought is that by doing your own repair job, what happens to future claims if some other part of the loader begins to fail. Would it be reason to invalidate future repairs. Just a thought.

Many, many years ago, NH had a problem with welds breaking on, I believe, corn pickers or sileage machines. They contracted welders to go into the field and inspect and reweld the affected machines, at the farm. One of my cousins had his own welding company at the time, and was one of those contracted.

Give 'em heck, Rick.

As you know, my dealer went out of business over a year ago and although you took over their warranties, you are 200 miles away from me!

Best,

Mike
