Ladder attached to Loader bucket

I remember an old story about a guy who went up on the roof to repair a chimney. He threw a rope over the ridge and tied it to the bumper on the car and to his belt thus securing himself in case he should fall. About 30 minutes later the wife ran out and hopped in the car to run to the store. As she backed out she drug him up the roof over the ridge and down onto the driveway where he received several broken bones.

I don't do extension ladders anymore. I get up on the roof from the deck with this rig:

It has a level diamond plate landing to make the transition to the sloped roof:

The ladder unhooks and stores on the deck when not in use.

I stopped at my buddies house and he wasn't home, but there was a guy on his roof doing some work. Right after I got

there the workers ladder slide sideways off of the roof. I put it back up for him and asked if he had a cell phone, he said yes

in his truck. Neighbors house was about a 1/8 mile away.
