Anyone out there know how the Landpride power rake stands up to Harley and others? I have recieved a competative price on one and have no expierince with them. Thanks.

I have no experience with the landpride, but do with the harley. Side by each, they look quite the same (compared them at a lawn and garden show last year). I would expect they would perform similar to each other, if bearings and gear boxes perform equally.

I did look at the Landpride and thought the rakes looked fine. I own a LandPride finnish mower which has proven very reliable. I already have a Harley Pro 8 rake so was not in the market for one. I just wanted to see where things had changed. The carbide rollers definitely look like a great way to go. I have been really putting the hours on my rake the last couple of days. We've had a great warm week here in N. California and with all the grasses taking off and the Almond trees starting to blossom, I just had to get out and level up of ground before it gets to late. The rake is a fantastic addition to my small collection of implements. When my bar roller wears out, I'm going with the carbide stud roller. If I was in the market for a rake, I would look at the T-6. My little L3830 would handle it better then the 8' rake. Harley has a superb customer response and I am very impressed with the design they put into my Pro 8.

I have looked for the Harley at many dealers around here. None have them. Woods, Landpride and ATI are the only ones anyone local has offered.
The price on the Landpride 8' with hydraulic controls is only 250 more then the 6' Woods with manual controls. Thus the question on Landpride.

Landpride PR 15 series has "Tuff Studs" roller. They are "carbide enhanced. Not sure what exactly that means.
I think it would be a fine rake. Once you have used a powered rake though, there's no going back.

Does he have actual experience or is he just guessing? By the specs, the L48 should be plenty and the practical experience on the forum seems to bear that out....
