I've got a Kubota L2500, need a "York" (or other) rake to do my road etc. the 7ft York is $1590, are there less expensive options that will do reasonably well?

I have a Land Pride 1584. It does a great job for a little over $500.00. Does the York have full hydraulics and gage wheels for that price?

Edge,
I bought a Land Pride for $800 new at the dealership. Works great on the rough terrain I have here.

Ron, I'm also looking for a 6' landscape rake. I didn't know that some have hydraulics. I thought you just dragged them, and adjust them with your 3 point hitch hydraulics. What do the hydraulics on the rake do? I've never seen anything like that.
Thanks, Rich.

The hyd. would be for angling (front/back) and tilt (up/down). No personal experience but have seen some that have that option. I just do it the ol' fashion manual way.

Land Pride makes 2 models that have hydraulic angle available. Both the 25 and 35 series. Check out their site. Only the 25 series comes in 72".

RichZ,

I have a LandPride blade/rake set-up, and use a hydraulic cylinder to change the offset., since the top/tilt cylinders on the tractor take care of those functions,(with additional manual adjust for "extremes"), and the "angle " is usually constant for a given run. I set that manually, and use the hyd. offset to swing the blade around obstacles, while holding my course with the tractor. It also makes it easy to "tuck-in" the blade behind the tractor when going into the shed, since I usually want the end of the blade outside my track when working the edge of my driveway, for example.

Bought a Woods LR107 (7') with manual adjustable gauge wheels last July for $1100. Pretty rugged rake. If you get a rake spend the the extra $$ and get the gauge wheels, they make all the difference in the world.
