Well, I got my new TN75DA (cab, with about all the options) on friday, took it out on sunday and monday and put 20 hours on it. hard working hours.
So, let me say up front, this is one impressive machine, took everything I could throw at it and spit it out in perfect comfort.
I ordered this back in late February from F & S supply in Pennsylvania because well, they were 6000 dollars cheaper than my local dealer, who normally does very well. (and the F & S idea was from this board, so, take a bow board). Even he admitted that the price I got it for (including shipping) was cheaper than he could buy it for.
I equipped it with 3 remotes (just in case), full cab, radio, 32LC loader (normal quick attach style), R4 tires, front and rear weights and had the tires sealed, but not loaded, power shuttle 16x16 transmission.
It showed up right on schedule and we took it off (see http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/nh-buying-pricing/100739-its-here-tn75da-arrived-today.html ) and the very first time I drove a TN75 was taking it off this flat bed.
Drove it on and off to go pick up the 8' Rhino mower and the 8' Aerway I had ordered months ago also.
The Aerway won't get used til the fall, but the mower got used right away. We had gotten a contract on 56 acres and was holding it until the new tractor showed up. (can you imagine doing it with a 6 footer? ugh)
so, loaded both tractors up (6 footer for small areas and bigger one for bigger areas)
got it off, got it going, actually had to read the owners manual (no walk thru, remember?)
The quick raise is one cool feature. I didn't even know it had this, but basically you can set your position or draft (or combo of both) and then you just click this button and it goes up, you click another button and it goes down, right back to where you had it. Awesome. Fast raise too.
It's big, it's not physically that much bigger than the mid-frame compact (MF 1433) that the other tractor is, but it's bigger. It doesn't turn nearly as well, but on big straight runs, it's amazing. Steers nice, holds it's own and doesn't beat you up.
The cab is flat amazing!!!!!!!!! You have no idea how loud the tractor really is, until you open a door while working and realize, "wow, this thing is loud", but you don't notice. The A/C is awesome. I worked 11 straight hours and really except for being tired, was not exhausted like you would normally be doing mowing. I'm convinced. truly amazing the difference in exhaustion open vs cabbed. The big old suspension seat helps a lot too. You can raise and lower the steering wheel and change the tilt. Well laid out pedals and gear and even pretty easy for a large individual (like me ) to get in and out of.
It's got a 4 ranges and 4 gears within each range. Once you are in a range (which you have to be stopped to shift into) you can shift like a car, within that range. Very useful. The power shuttle is cool, but I'm so used to the mechanical shuttle of the MF that I am pushing in the clutch all the time from habit, have to get used to that.
Oh, and the power. Wow. 8' mower (which is I realize is somewhat small for a tractor this size, but that's all the wide you can go and still transport it, and my business is all about transport), and I had it set to go 4.3mph and even, 3 or 4' tall weeds, never slowed, never varied, just plowed right through it. 3 acres an hour if I'm doing my math right. It could easily handle a 10 or 12 foot mower. BTW, 4.3 mph is pretty darn fast right next to a fence.
Uses about 3/4 of a tankful in a day, I'm not sure how many gallons that is, (maybe 12 or so?), as my tank on the truck doesn't have any way to measure.
Anyway, sweet tractor, I like it, I'm pretty happy with it, very strong, maint is easy (much easier than on the compact) and long intervals. Hopefully it will lead a long and productive life.
two thumbs up
I'll try and post pictures later.
