G'day yes just split undo the four retaining bolts on the housing and replace seal. make new gasket or seal with silicone if the old one not too bad and replace copper washers on bolt, i would not touch the sump ( sorry oil pan!!) as i cannot see how that would leak after splitting the tractor as you do not have to disturb that joint:confused:. Relatively straight forward and easy job just do not forget to wedge the front axle before you split to stop from rolling to one side.
PS use a seal from local seal/bearing supply as they are usually alot cheaper than massey and as good if not better quality just try not to destroy too much so they can get a good measurement

Ok thanks for the info. I think I'm going to get to try this Monday afternoon. I'll post how it goes thanks for all the help.
