i noticed that my sleeves over the steering cylinder hoses were wet from oil. i had tightened them up but they still seemed wet. the hoses are the original ones 11 yrs old and the way PT had zip tied them down it was at 90 degrees or so and assuming that they are starting to crack a bit. so i figured i would be proactive and replace them before they burst. when i took off the covers i saw that the steering hose manifold assy was just hanging and i couldn't get any where with taking the hoses off that way. i installed some shims but with the wrench on the connector there isn't any room to really get the hoses off with the way they are inside the column. the only way i see to get the 4 hoses off is to remove the top two hoses and then pull the manifold assy out so i can take each hose off 1 by 1. has anybody else done this? or have a better, easier way of removing the 4 hoses from the manifold assy? i'll hope to work on replacing the hoses this weekend providing the wife doesn't have any other things on her honey due list that she wants done first. thanks in advance for the help and guidance.
