Learning with Brandon

It seems like it was only a couple of years ago when Brandon's mom and us were laughing about everything on her place being pregnant but her. That was before Brandon. Now he's sixteen.

They had a new building put in and want to redo the fence in the area. We decided that since Brandon was interested in welding that it might be fun for him to help.

Today's day one. We dug and set the posts this morning. And will weld up the pipe rails this afternoon. Right now I'm home for lunch and a little Busch racing.

This is Brandon cleaning the holes with my crossover diggers.

Here we have Brandon coping the pipe with a portaband saw. I believe a welder should know how to use whatever's at hand to get the job done.

He now has a fit up that Ray Charles wouldn't be too intimidated by.

This is how you make seven and half feet long posts out of twenty five feet long pieces of pipe.

Now Brandon gets to meet Ms Vogel. She does in two pulls what takes a bandsaw and a grinder or a real touch with a torch. She's a pipe notcher.
