Has anyone replaced their lights with LED on their Toolcat? I'm looking at getting an LED light bar and wondering what I need to do to get it wired up. Can I simply plug it in to one of the existing light connectors?

I feel like the stock lights aren't that bright and am looking for something better for plowing snow.

Don't have a toolcat but did install front and rear LED lightbars (22") in addition to factory cab lights. Made a world of difference for plowing snow in the dark. They draw hardly any amps so I just wired them up to separate toggle switches.

I could do the separate toggle switches, but I figured it would be easier if I could just plug right into the existing connector and use the stock light button in the cab. I'm not sure if that would work or not though. I'd also probably have to get the correct connector to wire into the light bar harness.

Anyone know if that will work, and if so, what the specific type of connector the Toolcat uses?

If you can find the correct connector to tie into the factory wiring harness it should work just fine. You'll also be able to use the OE light switch to operate the LED's.

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping someone knows what the type of connector is so I can search for it.

That being said, I realized there are quite a few unused switch locations inside the cab when I was using it last night, so it might be easiest just to buy new switches and route them to the blank switch locations that already exist.

I'm not a big fan of how the stock lighting controls work anyway, it seems the overhead, headlights, and backup lights cannot all be used at the same time. If I ran separate switches I could run them however I want.

Is there a guide to routing wires to the switch locations anywhere?

IMO it would be easier to buy a new switch and wire your lights in separately into the dash blanks.
