LED lights?

Are the modern LED lights easy to hook up? I've added some lights to my BX so they are wired already with a fuse and switch. I saw some LED lights at the Kubota dealer and he said just wire it up and your good. Do they draw a lot of power? If I bought one of Amazon would it be any harder to hook up?

It's just a 12V lamp like any other. Very easy to hookup. Draw a fraction of the power of traditional bulbs, so very good for tractors which may have low output alternators.

LED prices have come way down. I paid $120 per work light in 2011, and now they are $20-40 for the same thing.

Should be as easy to hook up as any other lamp. Plus and Minus wires. LED's draw about 1/5 or less of the power of traditional lamps. That is ideal for tractors with wimpy alternators, as you have power to spare.

I bought an inexpensive LED light on eBay, a switch at an auto parts store, and hooked up to the connector for the factory work lights.

I see them on Amazon for less than $20 so it seems like a no brainer.

BUT, rotate it so the tail points up so when you trim it with your sidecuters, the sharp edge of the trimmed tie is out of harms way

They are the same to hook up,I would switch everything you can to LED..they are pretty much impervious to vibration and like was said use a fraction of the power for 2x the light output. I replaced my pair of 55 watt halogen lights on my Ventrac with a pair of 18 watt LEDS and the output is 2-3x more powerful and the light is whiter an so much brighter and it uses 36 watts as opposed to 110..also LED lights work the same from 10 volts to 30 volts ..I built these guards for my amazon lights 18.00 a pair .
