Jay,
I was in India visiting Mahindra as a guest of Mahindra and heard about this over a year ago, before this came out in public. I don't recall the details, nor was I privy to any special information, but I understand that the rights to import Lenar was with Roger in Creswell, Oregon. They gave him a certain amount of time to wind that down as he had some tractors in the pipeline, parts, dealer support issues, etc. It seems like that was 15 months. What I had not thought of until this was brought up is that some of these old style Lenars could actually have a Mahindra tag on them as they built out the balance of these models for Lenar. I do know that the ones they are considering importing into the USA as Mahindra's are a lot different than what was brought in as a Lenar. There are a few "Mahindra" imports from China being tested stateside as we speak, but as of right now they are not being offered retail. If they do offer an economy model, it will need to meet Mahindra standards, hence the extensive testing.

Jay, at the Tulare show they had a Chinese tractor at the TYM both sporting some nice TYM bodywork. Do you know much about that? I was curious, but didn't have time to look into it.

Hey and what about this "I rest my case" stuff? I couldn't even tell you were making a case. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I did not mean to raise any feathers. I stated that someone from or working for the Mahindra organization approached us at the National farm Show to sell us Lenar tractors. It seemed like people were trying to show that I was probably mistaken. So I guess "My case" was only that Mahindra's name on the tag of the Lenar collaborates what I was saying. Nothing more or less.

As for the Chinese tractor with the TYM name on it, like Maindra TYM is testing one or more tractors here that are completely manufactured in China. Separately TYM also now owns an assembly plant in China were they assemble tractors from Korean manufactured parts and assemblies. The quality of the China ASSEMBLED TYM tractors is every bit as good as the ones coming from Korea. I believe the tractor you saw in Tulare was manufactured in China by a company TYM is working with and it is one of the tractors they are testing here but it is not of the same quality as TYM's OEM brand. Similar to the Lenar tractor and Mahindra, it is not related to the other TYM OEM tractors. We have sugested to TYM that in the future Chinese manufactured tractors (Not just assembled) not be sold under the TYM label. At this point TYM-America has no plans to sell any chinese manufactured tractors with the TYM name on it.

Mahindra China is manufacturing compacts which are being sold under the Lenar brand.

Mahindra USA will be importing tractors from Mahindra China but they will be different than those sold by Lenar.

You might want to try posting a new thread and in the title say something about needing a clutch and listing your tractor. I bet you would have better results.
Or try this link. Contact Us For Chinese Tractor Parts

Absolutely no ruffled feathers here.
I am just frustrated by the lack of any info on Lenar hydraulic spec's.

Mike sent me a better photo of the stamped label on what I think is the relief valve.
The number is 10 MP mega-pascals or 1,450 psi.

I downloaded a Mahindra manual and was very very impressed by the high definition pictures at the end of the manuals showing how major components work such as the power flow in each gear, the internals of the differential. Many other manufacturers would do well copying them.
I know a young man with a Chinese wife and I am going to send him a photo of the relief valve to see if they can tell me what the Chinese characters are saying.

Did you look at any of the photos of the hydraulic system components posted by the owner and does anyone recognize any of them?

Am I seeing incorrect post dates? Or did you just reply to a post that is over ten years old?

You are absolutely correct. I was deeply involved in trying to help the owner of a Lenar tractor whose lineage seems quite unknown.
Some suggested Mahindra. Some said Mahindra never made a tractor that small.

Since the big unknown was Mahindra I got off track and unknowingly switched threads.

Since your here, do you know anything about Lenar?
