Let's lose a tractor!

Nope, it's got to be the cake. By the time we got through greeting people in our reception line the wedding cake was all gone. My wife has been complaining about it for 10 years, but after all that time she's still way hot!

She's worn her ring religiously the whole time.

The wedding cake also decreases their ability to be in the mood.

While I'm here I guess I'll join in and try to drop about 20-25lbs. I'm 6'1" and 235 lb. today. Hoping for 210-215. Anything less than 200 and everyone asks me if I'm sick.

Wouldn't gaining a tractor be more fun??? :D Neighbor and me are in a race for the 250 club... Not sure if you win or loss if you get there first...

Put me down for the usual... 20 lbs.

I weighed this morning, I lost a lug nut.
Being in on this reminds me of another group diet that I was in on back in the early '70's. I was working in a corrugated factory and six of us guys working on the 11p to 7a shift decided to see who could loose the most weight from Jan 1 to Mar 1 and the winner would collect $1.00 per Lb. for every Lb that he lost from each of the other five. One of the guys named Jim run a gun shop during the day and lived alone in a little room in the back with a bed and table and fridge. He came in one shift telling about waking up in the evening so hungry and going to the fridge and all that was there was half a jar of grape jelly, he finished it off, another time it was nothing but an onion. He took a lot of ribbing all through the three months and come weigh in time, Mar 1 he had lost the least. After weigh in, I went to the car and brought in the pineapple upside down cake that the wife had baked for him, he sat there in front of all of us and ate the whole cake.

Progress is progress!

I'm not doing so good on my exercise goal, but I am doing pretty good at not eating after 7:30 pm. I haven't weighed yet, but I feel better.

I've tallied up the last few who have joined in. We're up to a goal of 350 pounds.

It's not too late for any lurkers to join in.

I'm getting a little sick of celery and carrot sticks, but it's sure nice to not feel like I have to hold my breath to tie my shoes. I don't think I've really lost any weight yet, but I'm not keeping my belly full all the time, so I have more room there.

Time to report our progress. Post your current weight and anything you've been doing that has worked or hasn't worked for you.

I'm 179; down 4 pounds from where I started... much to my surprise. I've kept a few carrot sticks in the fridge at work so that when I get munchy I grab a few carrots instead of candy or chips out of the vending machine. I've also not eaten after 7:30 pm. There's no magic to food eaten after that time. It's just that by resolving to not eat late at night there are that many fewer calories that I consume.

Something else I've done is use my phone less. Rather than calling up a co-worker on the phone, I'll stand up and walk to his office.

How's everyone else doing? I'm sure we all want to know, whether it's good or bad.

This AM. 4.8, I've just been taking smaller portions and only one go round at meal time, and like you, no night time snacking. If I absolutely have to have something between meals I'll grab an apple and I too have noticed I don't have that full bloated feeling all the time, kinda good feeling and after I lose some more weight it will be good to bend over without the gut in the way.
I was surprised, I thought there would have been more TBNers join in, maybe not that many on here need to lose weight, or maybe it just comes in handy as ballast.:)

LOL! We should keep track how many of us on this thread join in on "filled tire" threads.
