Got this today. An 8 inch Baldor grinder with OEM cast iron pedestal from a local high school shop, but sitting "under cover" for the last 18 months. $170 CDN.

Just needs some TLC. I like the lighted viewing panes. I could use something like those on mine that I picked up at an auction this summer. I might have already shared this but I like the stainless steel tray and fitted cup that someone fabbed on mine. I've since added two new wheels.

Thanks Terry. Trying to bid on it now. Looks to be genuine Baldor. I'm in China at the moment and eBay must be worried it's not me. Having trouble. Might have to ask the better half to get online and bid for me.

My father passed away June of this year.
I was in his garage yesterday charging the battery up on one of his vehicles.
The previous owner of the house had left this gem on on the workbench.
Pop hardly ever used it.
I knew it was in there but to be honest with you I had completely forgotten about it.
I told my mother I wanted it and with her blessing I took it home.
I just doubled the value of my shop tools.

No... dang it. They went for $71. Although not too bad compared to new... After comparing them to pics of others online it looked like they might have been modified. Like there was white PVC pipe extension.

Too bad, Mark. Yes it looks like a mod.

Here's mine. I had to replace the two lenses that were missing. 4"x6" laminated glass from a local shop. Custom cut $10 each.

Found this small hammer in my father in law's shed last year. It is marked TrueTemper No. 1308. I can't find any dating info for it, but likely comes from the 50's or 60's. This is the only ball pein hammer I have ever had.
