My grandson was recently eyeing my Gerber LMF2 so I passed it to him and quickly replaced it with another KBar....
I own 2 Gerber's LMF 2 Infantry, kinda don't know why there referred to as that when there actually designed for pilots etc . There 3/4 @least tang the back butt doesn't connect to the front tang part so in an aircraft crash etc and one is attempting to cut your way out ' or banging in chopper etc one doesn't get electrocuted in theory . Some people don't like them I myself find them excellent. I have the military green and coyote brown colors .

Ontario RAT 3 with sheath . Made in USA From what I gather they came out first then ESEE perfected them with there premium identical models . All the RAT models from Ontario Knives good stuff . Lots of value for the money . This one is or was $53 -tax included. The same model in Esee which are really premium stuff is double . Esee also made in the USA . Somewhere I have a KABAR BK10 "Crewman and a Off Grid ALPHA DOG , when I dig them out I will post some pic's .

Who was it that said : Never bring a Knife to a wedding ? ....

The best knife is the one you have on you. I carry a Kershaw assisted opening knife all the time. Saved the day Monday...as it has on many occasions. Been carrying it for about 15 years.

Just cannot see the "value" of any knife over $200. I am too cheap and ignorant, I guess.

Everyone makes their choice about spending their money. I don’t think I’ve ever paid much over $100 except for one Damascus steel Case knife. It was bought on a trip to Tenn.

I like to buy knives as souvenirs on trips. I can name where I bought them easier than I can what I paid for them.

“Out the front” type
I nearly always carry it
Looks like your knife has some history. If you are used to always carrying a knife, it becomes part of dressing. Keys, Wallet with Drivers License, etc. and knife. Something seems wrong if it is not there.

I work down the street from Kershaw, been going to their warehouse sale for like 25 years now so I have MANY Kershaw knives, have my favorites but have stuck to their Misdirect model for the last several years, lost my first one in October, replaced it locally then bought a couple spares at the warehouse sale (now I won't lose any anymore, that's how it normally works). I just have the cheap China model, they have a US model but I was feeling cheap at the sale, should have splurged... I use and abuse the knife which I am fine with for a $15-25 knife, not sure on a $75+ knife, might as well go with a Leek to go middle ground at that point... I'm not sure I could count my pocket knives within a months time, they're everywhere :)

How lucky can you get to be right down the street from a Kershaw factory?
