Breaking in the BX25 with a 300 ft trench for a new sewer line.

Installing a new sewer line is a lot less crappy to work on than repairing one.

Well at least you were giving a good trial run. I have always been able to get my backhoes out of a bind by using the backhoe to raise and swing my back end to the side to get onto new ground. Or pulling myself out with the bucket. I try not to sink in by spinning the tires. Do you have R4s?

To get out of similar spot I lift back of machine by pushing down on hoe and swing out of holes. For front push down on open bucket gives you about 12 inches under wheels then throw logs under. Do that first before swinging rear. Works very well but best done where no one is around to offer advice.

Yes Pat, I find that it is often the best advice to make sure no one is watching <and laughing> whenever I get myself into predicaments...

Very true, plus if no one is there to witness, you can make tell the story "better" when you tell how you got un stuck. Mine get "better" every time I tell them.
