My dad has an old Gravely. My brother and I used that as our 'atv' growing up 40 years ago. We had a sulky and trailer with seat, and would take it a quarter mile down the road to get to our favorite farm with trails, woods, and creeks. We kept it on tractor lanes mostly, but that was our home base through many explorations and hunting days. Of course we also spent many hours mowing and tilling with it too.

Sounds like fun, how fast did it go?

I have no idea what the top speed is on those old Gravely tractors. Some of the experts on here can probably tell us. Too fast to be safe the way we were driving it on the road. We took It slow on the lanes though. We used to heap the trailer full of ear corn we picked up after they harvested the fields around us. Used to be lots of corn missed compared to these days. Good times.
We had so much fun on that Gravely, that I rigged up my BCS 850 with a trailer hitch last year. My son and I converted an old trailer, about 3'x4', adding wood sides and a bench seat on the front. I smile every time my son drives that around. He volunteers for all sorts of yard work so he has an excuse to play on the BCS. More good times.

I bought an old Gravely L and sulky from a guy whose sons used it exactly as you did. It's still waiting for a rebuild/restore.

Here's two of my Pasquali 934s one with an acme 9 hp motor and the other with a Kohler 15hp

The stick take I built myself, which works quite well, tyres are quad bike rears

Look like good old solid machines.

Look like good old solid machines.

They are fairly solid machines, four speed gearboxes with dual range pto's, one has a 15 hp Kohler motor the other an acme 8 hp, both go quite well, pretty handy once you have attachments
